Starting from a very young age, I’ve always had a passion for creativity and art. When I was 7, my family moved to Vancouver from the Philippines where I continue to pursue art as an Illustrator and Designer at Colours and Shapes. As I continue to grow in my practice, I’ve began investigating what it looks like to integrate my positionality and intersectional identities into my design work in hopes of better understanding my place in the world.
My fascination with design stems from its ability to change our experience of the world for the better. At the heart of what I do, I aspire to share and amplify people’s stories by facilitating safe spaces to challenge norms, building meaningful relationships, and exploring ideas. From digital to print media, I love partnering with people to share their story and bring their vision to life.
Recently, I completed my Bachelor of Design in Communication Design at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Nowadays, you can find me working from home, listening to the latest episode of My Favorite Murder podcast as I work away. And when I’m not creating artwork, you can find me cooking, daydreaming about travelling, or watching reruns of The Office or How I Met Your Mother.
